This is one of the main activities of the Tunisian Agency for Technical Cooperation.
Strong with more than 52 years of experience in area, the TATC has always endeavored to ensure a match between Tunisian available competencies and foreign partners’ needs using its resources of competences among the senior executives of the Tunisian administration, university institutions as well as private and public enterprises.
The cumulative number of senior executives having worked within technical co-operation increased from 1000 in 2023 to around 55000. 25084 cooperants are currently engaged with the ATCT..
They work mainly in education, higher education, health, agriculture and engineering sectors.
These executives come from the public and private sectors and work mainly in the areas of education, health, engineering and services.
Furthermore, there are four steps in the placement of cooperants:
•the reception and study of the job applications
• the selection of candidates
•the preparation of cooperants
• the secondment of cooperants to ATCT
- ATCT has organized training sessions for more than 3,700 executives from african and arab countries in various fields such as:
- Basic health
- Advancement of women
- Environment
- Education and higher education
- Publishing and distributing the school book
- Literacy
- Vocational training
- The promotion of SMEs/SMIs
- Agriculture and fisheries.
- Quality Management
- Finance
- The Administration
- The Judiciary
- New technologies
- Project Management.
These training sessions are carried out by tunisian individual and institutional skills within the framework of bilateral or triangular cooperation.
The ATCT works on the proper conduct of the training sessions and study visits and provides all appropriate conditions in terms of reception, accommodation, displacement, field visits, socio-cultural activities....
The ATCT organizes two types of training :
- The Customized Training :
The ATCT receives many specific requests for individual or collective training from countries and specialized agencies (World Bank, UNDP, UNESCO, UNOPS, OIF, IDB, ADB, CIDA, AFD ...).
This type of training, designed to meet the different needs expressed by the beneficiary parties, aims to enable trainees to acquire new knowledge or consolidate knowledge already acquired in connection with their duties and responsibilities.
To this end, the ATCT identifies the training program corresponding to the trainee's experience, his linguistic knowledge, the objectives of the training requested and the tasks that he will entrusted with upon his return to his home country.
Among the areas that have been the subject of training we can mention:
• the management of Higher Education institutions.
• health and occupational safety.
• the management of technical cooperation.
• basic education.
• the integrated rural development.
• the management of maritime credits.
• the safeguard and maintenance of the currency.
• the promotion of private investment and the management of the external debt.
Within the framework of its partnership relations with international and regional organizations such as the Islamic Development Bank "IDB" and the Japanese International Cooperation Agency, ATCT organizes training sessions in collaboration with Tunisian individual and/or institutional competences.
This type of training covers priority areas such as :
- Sustainable development
- Reproductive health
- Economic development (agriculture, investment, private sector assistance)
- Programming and elaboration of studies and evaluation of development project
- Women and development.
- Combating desertification.
- Public debt management.
It aims at a better exchange of experiences between participants and enrichment of their knowledge.
