| Job Description | A Quebec company operating internationally and specializing in the manufacture of trucks for collecting waste and recyclable materials, is looking for a welder to expand its team. As a welder you will be responsible for assembling and welding the parts. You will work closely with a welder-fitter, senior welder-fitter or even with a welder as the case may be. Tasks and Responsibilities • Assembly of parts oCheck if all parts are compatible o Make the chamfers following the symbolization oAssemble the parts with template o Report assembly issues to the welding supervisor o Carry out the squaring o Suggest improvements in relation to the plan, assembly techniques and designate to the welding and engineering supervisor oCheck if all parts are compatible oHandle parts using the overhead crane • Preparation of welding work o Make sure the surface is free of rust or any other foreign matter that could interfere with welding o Make sure you have the right process oRead the welding dimensions on the drawing oEvaluate and make sure before welding, to respect the defined tolerance of the part following the deformation due to the welding process and to take the necessary means oPut personal protection • Welding of parts o Facilitate the adjustment of welding parameters according to the process and the materials o Read and interpret welding procedure data sheets o Preheat if necessary o Carry out welding in flat or horizontal positions or according to the process and position for which the c.w.b qualification has been obtained. oDetect any fault or anomaly oIf faults are detected, notify your supervisor oRepair defective parts by starting the weld oComplete production orders o Write the parts used o Enter the welding time and sign • Maintenance of his workstation oEnsure the cleanliness of your workstation on a daily basis oApply the 5 S o Comply with the safety rules in force oDetect any anomalies that could endanger your safety and that of others and report them to your supervisor.
