| Job Description | In collaboration with the person responsible for tailoring and the production director, the costume designer costume designer makes costumes and samples based on instructions and technical specifications. Job description • Read the technical specifications for the product in order to fully understand the work to be performed; • Establish the different stages of making the garment to ensure compliance with standards established; • Carry out all the sewing steps for the different products, independently, meeting the required quality standards and within the required time; • Carry out complex operations necessary for making the product (sample, prototype, etc.); • Propose efficient working methods to facilitate and reduce the handling of equipment, minimize production time, and improve prototype/product quality; • Check and install the appropriate accessories and guides; check and adjust the various sewing machine mechanisms, to meet assembly needs; • Check the quality of the work and carry out the necessary repairs to ensure compliance with standards established; • Maintain the cleanliness of the work area, plant equipment and machines and notify the mechanic of any defect; • Actively participate in the continuous improvement process; • Respect health and safety rules at work; • Complete production reports. SKILLS • Ability to read a technical quote; mastery of reading and applying a pattern, ability to modify it; • Ability to visualize the different stages of making a garment; • Ability to assemble and make a complete garment independently, to measure, according to the customer and clothing manufacturer specifications; • Skills for carrying out complex operations; • Great precision and speed of execution; • Fine dexterity and attention to detail; excellent hand-eye coordination; • Ability to clearly express ideas and communicate them to pattern makers, customers, as well as only to members of the department. 11.2023 Required qualities - Person focused on teamwork; - Good communication; - Creative and analytical profile; - Autonomy and resourcefulness.
